5. What is repentance?

II Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God

I Peter 2:25 For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Repentance is making a U-turn in life.  Its turning away from our sinful “old” way of life before Christ to a new and better life of “Godly” living.  Its not a one time event but a lifetime of adjustments and corrections as we grow and mature in our walk with the Lord.
