Acts 22:16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.

Our sins are washed away

2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

We receive the gift of the Holy Spirit

2:47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

We are added to the church

Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

We are clothed with Christ

II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

We become a new creation.  The old life is gone and the new life begins the moment we are born again.

I Corinthians 6:11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

We are changed from heathen hell-bound sinners to cleaned up sanctified saints.

I Peter 3:21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

We get a clean slate and a clear conscience and we are “saved”.
