The mission of Friend's Community Church
encompasses both a local and world view to evangelism. World View are the
missions organizations we currently support and with which we are partners.
Through World View we can accomplish our mission to help the people of the world
begin and continue a lifelong friendship with Jesus Christ.
Gonaives Christian Mission (GCM)- Haiti :
is a church of some 800+ members and over 400 students
enrolled in the GCM school. They meet in one main
church in the city of Gonaives. They also have three Satellite churches in
Henry, Grand Leau, and Gros Morne. All four
of
these locations have Christian Schools as an additional arm of their ministries. The schools
provide a quality education to the children of the areas in which they
minister. Students and members of the churches also benefit from "feed the
hungry" programs because the GCM is registered with the government of Haiti as
an authorized distribution location for these and other benevolent relief
projects. Friend's Community Church is a supporter of GCM monetarily and physically as we will venture to
the land of Haiti to participate in Short Term Mission projects.

Sonlight
Christian Mission
- Haiti: is another outreach in the city of Gonaives.
The focus of this mission is evangelistic and medical.
Jean Melio an indigenous Haitian minister began the work
after graduating from Winston-Salem Bible College in 1999.
His love for his native land and its people and ultimately
his love for Christ compels him to serve. The land of
Haiti has many needs - spiritual and physical. Jean is
working to meet those needs with the gospel of Jesus and
medical missionaries that make short term trips to Haiti.
